Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Every part we sell comes with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). They apply on top of anything in this policy, and nothing here limits them. In short, parts must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for any purpose you told us about.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

A major failure includes a part that's unsafe, significantly different from its description, or that a reasonable person wouldn't have bought if they'd known about the problem. For a major failure you choose a refund or replacement. For a minor failure, we may choose to repair, replace or refund within a reasonable time.

Change-of-mind returns

We're not required to accept change-of-mind returns, but we want you to be happy with your build. You can return a part you've changed your mind about within 30 days of delivery when it is:

  • unused, uninstalled and not test-fitted in a way that marks it
  • in its original, undamaged packaging with all hardware, instructions and tags
  • returned with proof of purchase (your order number is enough)

Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by you, and there's no restocking fee. Contact us first and we'll give you the return address (parts often go back to a different warehouse from the one they shipped from); we refund the part's price once it arrives back in the condition above. Original shipping charges aren't refunded for change-of-mind returns.

Not eligible for change-of-mind return

  • Parts that have been installed, fitted, cut, drilled, painted, wrapped or otherwise modified
  • Tunes, ECU flashes and software licences once activated or written to a vehicle
  • Made-to-order or custom parts built to your specification
  • Apparel that has been worn or washed, and opened care products

These exclusions are about change of mind only

They don't affect your rights if a part is faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose we said it was — including after it's been installed.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect parts

If a part arrives damaged, develops a fault, or isn't what you ordered, contact us with your order number, a short description and a few photos or a video. We'll assess it quickly and arrange your remedy under the ACL — a refund, replacement or repair — and we'll cover the return freight.

Please contact us before sending anything back: parts often return to a different warehouse from the one they shipped from, and we'll give you the right address and a return authorisation number.

If a part doesn't fit

If we listed the part as fitting your vehicle and it doesn't, it doesn't match its description. That's on us, and we'll put it right with a refund or replacement, including freight both ways.

If you ordered a part listed for a different vehicle or variant, the change-of-mind terms above apply, as long as it hasn't been installed or modified. Always check the variant and spec notes on the product page — some parts only fit certain engines, trims or build dates — and ask us if you're unsure.

Installed and modified parts

Your consumer guarantees still apply after a part is installed. If an installed part fails, contact us — we may ask how and by whom it was fitted (an installer's invoice helps) and how the vehicle has been used.

The guarantees don't cover problems caused by incorrect installation, accidents, misuse, or using a part in a way it wasn't designed for — for example, a street part used in competition. Where a fault in the part itself causes you reasonably foreseeable loss, such as reasonable removal and refitting costs, you may also be entitled to compensation.

How to start a return

  1. Contact us or email support@osquaredmotorsport.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
  2. We reply with a return authorisation number and the correct return address.
  3. Pack the part securely — ideally in its original packaging — and include the authorisation number.
  4. Once it arrives and we've checked it, we process your refund, replacement or repair.

Refunds

Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days of the return being approved. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.

Paid with Afterpay or Zip? The refund goes back to the provider, which adjusts or cancels your remaining instalments under its own terms.
